The Hollywood Chris Hemsworth actor showed actress Katleen Phan Vo a fight move at the film premiere of his newly released film “Extraction 2.”
Katleen, a third dan black belt in Wing Chun, was a guest at the premiere in Manila, the Philippines, on Wednesday where she met Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave.
On hearing that she had learned the martial art as a child, Hemsworth was eager to show the young actress his moves.
Katleen showed her appreciation for Hargrave, who used to be a stuntman before working as a director and stunt coordinator. She believes Hargrave’s experience made action scenes in the film more convincing.
“Sam has a deep knowledge of stunts, which helped him to create interesting and astonishing scenes in the movie,” she said.
Katleen has also practiced several strike and defense moves with Hollywood stunt coordinators and stuntmen.
Hemsworth, 40, started his career in Australia before relocating to Hollywood. He rose to international stardom after starring as Thor in several Marvel movies.
“Extraction 2” revolves around the story of Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), a mercenary who takes on a dangerous mission to rescue three hostages.
Katleen, 26, is the daughter of Wing Chun Grandmaster Nam Anh and started her acting career in 2019.
