The central beach city of Da Nang is a favorite hotspot for Vietnamese tourists this summer, followed by Nha Trang and Phu Quoc, according to travel agency Booking.com.
Other destinations on the list were Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Hoi An, Hanoi, Ha Long, Hue and Vung Tau, according to the Dutch-based agency which conducted an analysis of check-in dates between July 1 and August 31.
Da Nang, famous for long, sandy beaches, is expected to get busy this summer as it is hosting an international fireworks festival for the first time after a three-year gap due to the pandemic.
The one-month long event opened last week has attracted pyrotechnic teams from eight countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Poland, and the U.K.
For outbound travel, Bangkok remains the favorite tourist destination this summer for Vietnamese tourists, followed by Singapore and Paris.
