Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security has detained six people for attacking two commune offices in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, killing several police officers and civilians.
The Ministry of Public Security said that an unidentified group of people used guns to attack the offices of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur Commune People’s Committees in Cu Kuin District early Sunday morning.
On Sunday afternoon, the ministry’s spokesman Lieutenant General To An Xo, said six had been detained and functional forces were searching for other accomplices who joined the attacks.
Police officers recommend that people in Cu Kuin district and neighboring areas stay calm and comply with the requirements of local authorities and the police force.
